Hindsight: A Year in the Life of the Trump Presidency

  • NeueHouse Madison Square 110 East 25th Street New York, NY, 10010 United States (map)

As we conclude the first year of Donald Trump’s presidency, two top experts will help us assess the wreckage wrought – and social movements spurred – by this bizarre administration. Eric Klinenberg, director of NYU’s Institute for Public Knowledge, will share insights from a recent symposium he hosted where the country’s leading scholars diagnosed what’s at stake in this perilous moment for American democracy. Virginia Heffernan, cohost of Slate.com’s “Trumpcast” podcast, will share the insights she’s gained from attempting to explain, day-to-day, who Donald Trump is and what he represents. The discussion will be moderated by Mark Hannah, a NeueHouse member and veteran of the Kerry and Obama presidential campaigns.
